My Story.
Explorer, photographer, geoscientist and storyteller from the heart of the Canadian Rockies
Before photography, I was a rock nerd at heart. My curiosities fueled my passion in research utilizing geology and geostatistics to better understand the world beneath our feet. That scientific curiosity still fuels my work, but now it’s expressed through a creative lens.
My journey into photography began after a severe accident during graduate school. It forced me to step away from optimizing integrals and fieldwork I loved. I’ve gained a deeper appreciation for life and has opened the door to a new way of connecting with the outdoors. Photography became a form of therapy, a way to slow down, ground myself in the moment, and rediscover the wild places that have always inspired me through a different lens.
Today, I chase stories that are raw and real. From alpine ridges to quiet lakes, from the surf to the skies. Whether I'm hiking, biking, paragliding, surfing or on a paddleboard, my goal is to capture authentic moments that speak to the power of nature and the resilience of the human spirit.
Giving back and helping others is also a big part of who I am. I believe in community, in sharing the stoke, and in using my skills to make a positive impact.
If you're looking for authentic storytelling in nature, or want to collaborate on an outdoor project, let's connect.
